I've never spent much on pillows. Buy the cheap ones and toss them or stack them when they go flat. Never again. I'm a side sleeper and I won't remove any of the filling. I don't notice an offensive odor. They actually fluff up quickly. Mine were fine in a few hours. They can be fluffed and molded to fit your shape/ needs. Worth every penny. Very pleased.
